Maine kabhi pyar maanga hi nahi… sirf zindagi mein sukoon ka ek halka sa noor chaha tha.
Phir wo aaya – jaise subah ka pehla ujala, jaise khamoshiyon mein chhupi ek dhadkan,
Har saans mein, har muskaan mein, bas usi ka ehsaas tha.

Chhoti chhoti baatein, hansna hansana, lamhe jo sirf humare the…
Sab kuch jaise ek sapne ka jahan, jahan waqt thama hua ho.

Aur phir, dil jaanta tha… ye khushi hamesha ke liye nahi.

Phir bhi, maine har pal usse mohabbat se jeeya,
Har ek dhadkan mein, har ek saans mein, bina kisi shart ke…Kyunki sachcha pyar kabhi apna nahi hota,
Wo sirf ehsaas ban kar reh jaata hai – gehra, amar, aur niraala.

Aur main chahti hoon ki aap bhi mehsoos karein,
Ki pyar ka asli rang sirf paas hone mein nahi…
Uska ehsaas dil mein basaye rakhne mein hai,
Aur wahi ehsaas, humesha yaad reh jaata hai.

Author’s Note

Her Tryst is a story born from memory, from moments that live quietly in the heart. It is inspired by a love that was real, raw, and unforgettable – a first love that taught me the beauty and the ache of truly caring for someone, even when life itself seemed determined to keep us apart.

Yes, this story carries a sad ending, but it is not a story meant to leave you broken. I promise you, dear reader, it will leave a mark – a whisper of what love really is. True love is not always about holding someone in your arms forever. It is about loving them with every beat of your heart, even when destiny pulls them away. It is about fighting, hoping, cherishing, and loving until your very last breath.

As you read, feel the devotion, the longing, the heartbreak – but also the quiet strength and the beauty of loving someone so deeply that their presence in your heart transcends time and circumstance. This is a story of love that lingers, teaches, and resonates – long after the last page is turned.

Preface

Tarun Verma

A soon-to-be 18-year-old boy and the only child of Anuj and Vandna Verma. Anuj Verma is a civil engineer, while Vandna Verma, a neurosurgeon, gave up her career after Tarun was born to focus on raising him. Tarun comes from a wealthy and influential family with deep ties to both the mafia and the business world. However, his father, Anuj, had no interest in the family’s mafia and business dealings, choosing instead to move his family to Mumbai to focus on his own career.

Rakesh Verma, Tarun’s “bade papa,” currently manages the family’s vast business empire. As Rakesh has only one child, a daughter named Divyanshi, he envisions Tarun as the future heir to the empire. Despite this, Tarun, much like his father, has no desire to inherit the business but reluctantly agrees to take on the responsibility. Meanwhile, Roshni Verma, Tarun’s “badi mummy,” has her own plans for his future -she wants him to marry Tiya, the daughter of her best friend and has already fixed his alliance with her for her personal wicked intentions.

Tara Sharma

A soon-to-be 17-year-old girl and the second child of Suresh and Shruti Sharma. Suresh Sharma works as a lecturer at a government college, while Shruti Sharma is a homemaker.

Tara has an elder brother, Manav, who is currently in the 12th grade.

Though Tara’s family initially lived as a joint family, her uncle Rajiv Sharma, aunt Rashi Sharma, and their daughter Ananya moved to Delhi for work. Tara’s family now resides as a smaller unit, leading a peaceful, upper-middle-class life.

What happens when two worlds collide? What unfolds when a girl from an upper-middle-class family and a boy from a super-rich, influential background cross paths and fall for each other?
